Frequently asked questions

  1. What is SHE® Software?

SHE® is an online health & safety software management service that you can access from anywhere via the internet. It is suited for all sizes of businesses and offers a secure, convenient method for risk assessment, auditing, incident reporting, email notification, action tracking & escalation. It is quick to implement, easy to use and extremely cost effective. There are no up front costs for hardware or software and no need for an IT department; we take care of all the backups, upgrades and support.

  2. Why use an online software package?

Affordable: Low monthly payments include everything you need, no need for capital expenditure.
No IT: Fully maintained, no extra I.T. costs, no software to manage.
Flexibility: Anyone with a browser can access to the system, no long term contracts.
Security: Fully managed server in highly secure environment.
Support: Managed servers have 24/7/365 support.

  3. If it’s online can’t my data be hacked?

There is always a risk when using the internet. No system is 100% secure, however we have lots of different things in place to make sure that doesn’t happen.
    1. The servers are housed in a UK based secure server facility.
    2. Remote access to the server is disabled.
    3. Only SQL Authentication grants SHE personnel access to the database.
    4. Each customer has their own, unique secure database.
    5. The Servers have dedicated Firewalls that block unauthorised access to the server.
    6. The site is secured by THAWTE SSL 128-bit encryption (the same as online banking).

  4. What if something does go wrong?

The servers are monitored constantly and setup for pro-active maintenance, this means we know about faults before they develop. The server alerts us when it thinks there might be an issue. In the unlikely event something does happen, we have a comprehensive disaster recovery plan in place. We have redundant servers available to transfer over to in the event of hardware failure. The databases and files are automatically backed up regularly.

  5. How much does it cost?

Prices start at £ 500 per year for 3 users. You can compare versions to see which fits your needs best.

  6. Can I try it first?

Of course, get in touch to arrange a demo or free trial and if you need help call technical support on 01355 27 28 29.

  7. What’s the catch?

There is none. You can try out the system to see if you like it. If you do, you can sign up. If you decide to stop using the service, you can cancel at any time; you just pay the remainder of the contract and a small fee for us getting your data (£399).

  8. How do I sign up?

Contact us or give us a call on 01355 272 444 and we’ll set you up straight away.
