After a period of controlled growth the board recognised that safety and health would need to expand in proportion to the business. As a result, a new health and safety role was created and a new safety management system developed. We needed a central means of recording and controlling that management system.

SHE Software was selected based on the functionality of the system and on the attitude of the staff. Implementing a new software product into any organisation requires the changeover to be managed and what is essential to manage that is confidence in the support offered. SHE Software has proved to be a wise choice with excellent support and development.
How has the problem identified been solved and can this be substantiated?
We found the system very simple to get up and running straight away. The standard templates could be modified to fit our needs. This allows very quick and seamless integration with existing company documentation.
The Accident/Incident module is excellent, particularly the Investigation tool, which provides us with a framework for managing everything associated with incidents and accidents. Statistical analysis can be performed quickly by filtering the information stored on the system and either running a management report or sending the data to Excel for further breakdown.
