As part of National Express's commitment to improving Health & Safety conditions at all their sites a team of in-house Health & Safety Experts were appointed to find a Safety Management System that was quick & easy to set up and use.

The system had to be able to adapt to the changing needs of the company, while satisfying the growing demand for Health & Safety management information.

SHE Software was chosen after evaluating other systems for several reasons:

Firstly, the front end of the system was extremely user friendly, allowing the managers to begin to use the system very quickly. Secondly, the system created management data in a simple usable format

SHE allows National Express to fulfill its legal requirements for accident recording, but more than that, the flexibility of the system allows for expansion and evolution within the Company.

The ease of use has enabled the Site Managers to view & analyse the information quickly and has helped to increase ownership & responsibility for Health & Safety issues, this has raised the profile of Health & Safety throughout the company.
